Overview
Amazon One Medical Weight Loss Care prescribes only FDA-approved GLP-1 medications. That is stated unusually plainly: providers will prescribe Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo, and will not prescribe compounded versions or older weight loss pills such as phentermine-topiramate, naltrexone-bupropion, phentermine or orlistat. In a market built largely on compounded products, that is a deliberate position.
The clinical gatekeeping is also more real than most telehealth offerings. Amazon requires a creatinine, an eGFR and a fasting glucose from recent bloodwork, or you buy labs separately, and it publishes exclusions covering a history of medullary thyroid cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and kidney disease with an eGFR below 60. The program is limited to ages 18 to 64.
The most consequential piece is on the pharmacy side. Amazon Pharmacy participates in the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program, a temporary federal initiative that began on 1 July 2026 and runs through 31 December 2027, offering Wegovy, the Zepbound KwikPen and Foundayo at a flat $50 a month for eligible Medicare Part D members using them for weight loss.

Brand-Name or Compounded?
